Neglecting to replace your furnace filter reduces system efficiency and increases strain on your HVAC system, potentially leading to problems like a frozen evaporator coil. This can impair your system's ability to cool your home effectively and cause damage to your HVAC system. Replacing your furnace filter will help keep your furnace running efficiently and your indoor air quality optimal.
When do I REPLACE my furnace filter?
We recommend replacing your filter every 30 days to ensure optimal efficiency. However, it is important not to exceed 90 days between changes to maintain your system's performance and air quality.
Which filter do I buy and where?
We recommend using a lightweight fiberglass filter to allow more airflow and cause less strain on your system, promoting efficient operation and potentially extending the lifespan of your equipment without sacrificing air flow quality. Below is a link to one that is easy to find at Home Depot or Lowes. Make sure to check what size you need before you purchase one.
